Ajax wrapped up the training camp on Friday with a positive feeling. The final match of the preseason campaign against Olympiakos ended in a 1-0 victory for the Amsterdammers. Carlos Forbs scored the only goal of the afternoon, crowning himself the match-winner in Driel.
The training camp on the Wageningse Berg is over. It was a week in which the new head coach Francesco Farioli could work intensively with his Ajax team. The 35-year-old Italian looks back on his start in Amsterdam with a good feeling. "I sense that this group wants to make amends for last season."
Ajax won 2-1 against Al Wasl on Thursday evening in the first friendly match during the training camp. The match was played in Tiel, where Francesco Farioli's team secured the win with goals from Branco van den Boomen and Julian Rijkhoff.
