Ajax had little trouble overcoming Heracles at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Sunday, securing a 4-0 victory. It was an afternoon filled with great moments, from Davy Klaassen’s 100th goal to the debuts of Sean Steur and Rayane Bounida.
Ajax enjoyed a fantastic football Sunday, securing a 4-0 victory over Heracles and strengthening their lead at the top of the Eredivisie. Davy Klaassen netted his 100th goal for the club, while Oliver Edvardsen scored his first. Additionally, Rayane Bounida and Sean Steur made their debuts for Ajax’s first team.
Ajax and Rayane Bounida have reached an agreement on a new contract. The new contract of the eighteen-year-old Belgian runs until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend for another year. His previous contract was set to expire in mid-2025.
Ajax made an excellent start to their two-legged tie against Union Saint-Gilloise. The Amsterdam side secured a 0-2 victory on Belgian soil, thanks to goals from Christian Rasmussen and Jorthy Mokio. The return leg will take place next week at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
