Quincy Promes returned to training with Ajax. The 28-year-old forward held talks with Edwin van der Sar, Marc Overmars, and Erik ten Hag last Wednesday and Thursday.

Ajax played host to FC Utrecht for a wild cup match on Wednesday evening. The Ajacieds fell behind twice, but showed great character to turn things around and secure the win. Dusan Tadic provided the winning goal just before the final whistle to seal the 5-4 victory.
