Ajax have suffered their first defeat since August. Captain Jordan Henderson felt it could have been avoided, as Ajax was the better team in the first half. "I thought we were solid in the first half. We were good in defence and had some great chances. We had the upper hand."

"We didn't set up as many chances in the second half," the English player continued. "We didn't play to the same level. We lost control."

However, the captain did not want to feel down about it for too long, he said on Ziggo Sport. "Losing is never fun. Especially as it could have been avoided. We should have been 1-0 or 2-0 up after the first half. But we can certainly learn something from that match."
