"We dominated the first half," he told ESPN. "Cambuur did not get into the game. Only, we came out of the dressing room very poorly. They suddenly made it 1-2. Then you know how it is, Cambuur away, the supporters are behind them."

After last Sunday's match versus RKC Waalwijk, it was the second game in a row in which Ajax have given up a lead. "The most important thing is that we eventually won 2-3. But I think we will have a meeting about this match before our next training."

Gravenberch scored Ajax's third goal in stoppage time with an absolute stunner. He rewatched his goal in the tunnel at the Cambuurstadion. "I got the ball from Steven [Berghuis] and didn't think twice. It was a great one. I was concerned that I hadn't scored for a while. An Ajax midfielder has to score goals."
