Giovanni was born on January 31, 2002 in Bauru, Brazil. He joined Ajax from Santos FC at the beginning of 2020 and has been part of the selection with Jong Ajax ever since. He made his debut in professional football on August 30, 2020 in the match between Jong Ajax - Roda JC: 0-4. He has since played 31 official games for the reserves, scoring twice.
Ajax and FK Shakhtar Donetsk reach agreement for David Neres
Ajax and Shakhtar Donetsk have reached an agreement for the transfer of David Neres. The transfer to the Ukrainian club is effective immediately. The winger was still under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2023. Ajax will receive a sum of € 12 million for the transfer. That amount can increase to € 16 million depending on variables.
