Carolien Gehrels was appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board of AFC Ajax NV on Monday during the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (BAVA) at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Gehrels, who will also serve as the chair of the Supervisory Board, has been appointed for a term lasting until the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AVA) in 2028. Michael van Praag (member and chair of the Supervisory Board) and Georgette Schlick (member of the Supervisory Board) stepped down following the meeting.
Another agenda item was the notification of the intention to appoint Shashi Baboeram Panday as an executive director. In accordance with the statutes, this agenda item was not subject to a vote but was discussed.
Baboeram Panday began his duties at Ajax on February 1, 2025, and will officially succeed Susan Lenderink as Chief Financial Officer and statutory director starting March 1, 2025, for a term lasting until the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2028.
Naar aanleiding van de berichtgeving in de media bevestigt Ajax dat Carolien Gehrels de enige overgebleven kandidaat is voor de positie van voorzitter van de Raad van Commissarissen van AFC Ajax NV. Het proces om tot een voordracht te komen bevindt zich in de allerlaatste fase.
Ajax heeft zondag zijn zestiende competitiezege geboekt. Door goals van invallers Wout Weghorst en Christian Rasmussen won de ploeg van Francesco Farioli met 0-2 bij Fortuna Sittard. Door de driepunter is Ajax de nieuwe koploper van de Eredivisie.
De Ajax Vrouwen hebben zaterdag De Klassieker winnend afgesloten. In de Johan Cruijff ArenA waren twee doelpunten genoeg om de gasten uit Rotterdam te verslaan: 2-0.
