After a nerve-wrecking penalty series, Ajax have made it to the play-offs of the UEFA Europa League. Anto Gaaei scored the 34th penalty of the shoot-out: 13-12. After 120 minutes of playing, the score was 0-1. Ajax won with the same numbers in Greece last week. In the next round, the Polish Jagiellonia Białystok.
Ajax have won their third official match of the season on Thursday evening. After beating FK Vojvodina twice, Panathinaikos was beaten on Greek soil. Steven Bergwijn crowned himself the match-winner and ensured a slight advantage ahead of the return in the Johan Cruijff ArenA next week.
Ajax lost their away game against NAC Breda on Sunday. The hosts won 2-1 in the Rat Verlegh Stadium. Jorrel Hato scored the equaliser 63 minutes into the match, but Ajax conceded a second goal in injury time.
