Frank Peereboom (Haarlem, April 11, 1979) succeeds Dave Vos, who has been added to the first team staff as an assistant coach. Peereboom began his coaching career in 2004 as a youth coach at FC Volendam. Since 2011, he has held various positions at Ajax, such as youth coach, technical coordinator, and analyst for the first team. For the past two seasons, Peereboom has been the head coach of Ajax U18. Urby Emanuelson and Yuri Rose will remain assistant coaches at Ajax U23.
Frank Peereboom: "I am very happy with this step. Ajax has been an excellent learning environment for me for many years. I completed the Professional Football Coach course here and have been active in various roles, including 4.5 years as an analyst under Erik ten Hag. It is great that coaches also get opportunities at Ajax. I have always felt at home here and look forward to helping the players of Ajax U23 take the final step towards the first team. Developing talents and delivering them to Ajax 1 is the fun part of this job. We want to win matches with attacking football. Those remain the focal points for the coming season."
Technical director Alex Kroes: "Frank Peereboom has been working at Ajax for several years and has developed well and broadly here. He deserves this opportunity. His way of working fits with our vision of development and giving opportunities. With the different characters of Yuri Rose and Urby Emanuelson as assistants alongside Frank, we have a coaching staff for Ajax U23 with coaches who complement each other well."
