First three pre-season opponents announced

Ajax's preparation for the 2024/2025 season is taking shape. Last week, most non-international players reported to de Toekomst sports complex. Wednesday featured medical tests, and Thursday morning was the first field training.

Ajax's first pre-season match will take place on Friday, July 5. PEC Zwolle will be the opponent in a friendly behind closed doors at De Toekomst. This match starts at 14:00 and can be followed live on Ziggo Sport.

After that, Ajax will travel across the country. On Tuesday, July 9, Ajax will play a friendly match against the Belgian team STVV (Sint Truidense V.V.) at the OWIOS sports park in Oldebroek. This match in Gelderland starts at 18:30. On Saturday, July 13, a friendly against Rangers FC follows. This match starts at 16:00 and will be played at WHC in Wezep. Training camp in the Netherlands 
Ajax will stay at Wageningse Berg for a training camp from Monday, July 15, to Friday, July 19. During this week, two friendly matches are expected to take place. More information about the training week and the friendly matches will follow through Ajax's official channels.

The season starts for Francesco Farioli's team a week later with a match in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. On Thursday, July 25, FK Vojvodina will be the opponent at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The return leg follows on Thursday, August 1. More information on ticket sales can be found here (in Dutch).

Ajax and Ziggo extend partnership

Ajax and VodafoneZiggo have extended their long-standing partnership. The telecom company has been Ajax's shirt and main sponsor since 2015 and has signed on for at least two more seasons. The current contract runs until the end of the coming season; the new agreement extends until mid-2027, with an option to extend until mid-2029. The collaboration will place greater emphasis on social initiatives.

According to the KNVB’s draft match schedule for the 2024/2025 Eredivisie season, Ajax will start the new season with a home game against SC Heerenveen on Sunday, August 11. The first Klassieker is on September 1 in Rotterdam.

Ajax draw FK Vojvodina in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League

Ajax will face FK Vojvodina in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. This was determined by the draw in Nyon, Switzerland, on Wednesday afternoon. Ajax will first play a home match on Thursday, July 25. The second leg will take place on August 1. More information about ticket sales will follow soon via the official channels.
