Abdellah Ouazane has won the first Goal of the Month of the season. The talented Ajax player received almost half of the votes for his goal against sc Heerenveen in August. Goal of the Month is powered by Curaçao.
The youngster scored Ajax’s second goal in impressive fashion during the home game against sc Heerenveen (2-2). After receiving the ball from Caio Henrique, the Ajax player did well to create space before finishing powerfully and accurately. Ouazane received the Lasse Schöne Trophy on Thursday.
After Saturday's 5-1 victory over Fortuna Sittard, Ajax recorded an identical scoreline against Willem II on Tuesday evening. On Tuesday evening, Youri Baas had his photo added to the wall in the players' tunnel joining the ranks of players who have played at least 100 matches for Ajax. His journey began away to FC Utrecht. Against Willem II, Baas made his 100th appearance in an Ajax shirt at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
