Ajax secured their tenth consecutive Eredivisie victory with a win against PEC Zwolle, leaving head coach Francesco Farioli satisfied. "Yes, I’m proud of this team, especially because we’re facing some real challenges at the moment—players getting injured. Today, we had to deal with Brian Brobbey going off after just 15 minutes, but the players responded positively."

The Eredivisie leaders started somewhat sloppily in Zwolle but soon took control. "We grew into the game. Only in the last 20 minutes did Zwolle go all-in, playing a lot of long balls. That made us lose control a bit, but that’s understandable. The hour in between was solid."

Ultimately, Kenneth Taylor secured the win with a well-taken penalty after an hour of play. "It’s always a tense moment," Farioli admitted. "But Taylor stepped up and took responsibility. I’m very happy with him as a player, but even more so as a person."
