"When I look back on the first three weeks, I have plenty of positive things to say about the players," Farioli begins. "I'm seeing lots of effort and dedication in the team. I am pleased so far, but of course it's never enough. But we're on the right track."
Farioli was delighted with the win in Oldebroek. "Today, we played an opponent with a slightly different style compared to the previous game. We knew they would keep up the pressure and play one-on-one challenges. We set up plenty of opportunities, so overall I'm pleased. I felt the communication and energy on the pitch were great."
"It was a great experience to come here," he continues. "It gives us a clear picture of the work we have to do. The atmosphere was good, and it is important to bring home results like this, even in friendly games."
Happy with the players' appetite
The Italian looks back on a pleasant first few weeks in Amsterdam. "It's busy, but that's to be expected. I'm meeting lots of new people, but am getting a very warm welcome from everyone at the club. There's still a lot to do, but I am happy with the players' appetite. I want to keep this mindset going into the upcoming matches."
