The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) of AFC Ajax NV took place on Monday, 9 March at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. During the meeting, Lesley Bamberger, Anita Coronel, Marry de Gaay Fortman, Edo Ophof and Duncan Stutterheim were appointed as new members of the Supervisory Board.

Bamberger has also served as chairman of the Supervisory Board since Monday, 9 March. The term of appointment for the new Supervisory Board members is four years, until the end of the annual general meeting of shareholders in 2030. Sirik Goeman and Danny Blind formally stepped down following the EGM.

Another item on the agenda during the EGM was the notification of the intention to appoint Jordi Cruijff as a member of the management board. In accordance with the articles of association, this item was not subject to a vote but was discussed during the meeting. Cruijff started his duties as technical director on 1 February 2026. Since Monday, 9 March, he has also served as a statutory director. His appointment runs until 30 June 2028.

Nomination of members of the Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board (RvC) of AFC Ajax NV has decided to nominate Lesley Bamberger, Anita Coronel, Marry de Gaay Fortman, Edo Ophof and Duncan Stutterheim as members of the RvC. These nominations have the support of Ajax’s Works Council and Board Council. Lesley Bamberger is also intended to serve as Chair of the RvC. The nominations will be decided upon at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) to be convened. As part of the nomination process, RvC member Sirik Goeman will step down at the aforementioned EGM to make room for this new team. As already announced on September 5, 2025, Danny Blind will also step down at this EGM.
