Rensch’s first
A little over a month after his first match in professional football as Ajax U23 player, Rensch makes his debut in Ajax 1 on Saturday, November 28, 2020. In the away match against FC Emmen, the defender substituted Noussair Mazraoui in the 72nd minute. That evening, Ajax won 0-5 in Drenthe.

A young debutant, but not the youngest one ever
Rensch was seventeen years and 315 days old at the time of his debut. Over thirty Ajax players were younger during their debut in the club's history. The youngest one in the history of the club is Ryan Gravenberch. The now-former Ajacied was sixteen years and 130 days old during his debut match in the 2018/2019 season. Gravenberch still holds the club record.

Abdelhak Nouri Trophy in a unique month
November 2020 was a unique month for Rensch. On November 19, he was awarded the Abdelhak Nouri Trophy for the 2019/2020 season. Rensch succeeded Naci Ünüvar, who won the Abdelhak Nouri Trophy one year earlier. Nine days later, Rensch made his debut in Ajax 1.

Since the departure of Davy Klaassen to Internazionale, Ajax had no active players in the Club of 100. After last season, Dusan Tadic, Edson Álvarez and Jurrien Timber were added to the list. The quartet of experienced players left the club last summer. With Rensch, the Club of 100 has an active player again.

Youngsters in the honourary gallery of loyal Ajacieden
Rensch is twenty years and 255 days old on the day he plays RKC - Ajax. The homegrown defender is not the youngest Ajax player to reach this milestone. These illustrious former Ajax players were Matthijs de Ligt (nineteen years and 199 days), Ryan Gravenberch (nineteen years and 328 days), Christian Eriksen (twenty years and five days), Ryan Babel (twenty years and 89 days), Nigel de Jong (twenty years and 128 days) and Rafael van der Vaart (twenty years and 236 days).

Jubilarian with an impressive honour roll
Rensch has an impressive honour roll for someone who has just turned twenty. On that roll are two league titles (2020/2021 and 2021/2022), plus a Dutch Cup (2020/2021). His Abdelhak Nouri Trophy won in the 2019/2020 season has an honorary place too. The same goes for his European title with the Dutch national team U17 in 2019.
