Draw in entertaining reserve-team clash at De Herdgang

PSV U23  then went in search of an equaliser and created an opportunity shortly after the opening goal. Following a cross, the ball remained in front of Joeri Heerkens’ goal. Shuryjano Cornecion found himself in a promising position but was put under good pressure. His effort eventually went into the side netting.

Ajax U23 also continued to pose a threat. Marvyn Muzungu won possession high up the pitch and then waited for Ünüvar to join the attack. The striker released the ball at the right moment to Pharell Nash, who was through on goal. However, the winger guided his effort wide of the target.

PSV U23 levelled the score after just over an hour of play. Amir Bouhamdi was brought down in the penalty area by Leroy Fränkel, prompting the referee to point to the spot. Dantaye Jones kept his composure and confidently converted the penalty to make it 1-1. PSV U23 then created another good opportunity through Samuel Dumbili, but his effort was saved by Heerkens.

Ajax U23 continued to search for a winning goal until the final whistle, but it never arrived. As a result, the match at De Herdgang ended in a 1-1 draw.
