Ajax and Al-Ahli SC have reached an agreement on the transfer of Don O'Niel. The 19-year-old forward was under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2028.
O'Niel (Amsterdam, August 11, 2006) joined the Ajax youth academy at the age of six. The winger progressed through several youth teams before making his professional debut for Ajax U23 on May 10, 2024, in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie match against AZ U23. O'Niel made a total of 38 official appearances for Ajax U23, scoring eight goals.
Ajax thanks O'Niel for his years in Amsterdam and wishes him every success with the next step in his career in the Qatar Stars League with Al-Ahli SC.

Ajax will face FK Vojvodina in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. This was confirmed on Thursday evening. The two-legged tie against the Serbian side will be played on Thursday, July 23 and Thursday, July 30, 2026, with Ajax playing the first leg away from home.
