Dies Janse joins FC Groningen on loan

Ajax and FC Groningen have reached an agreement on the loan of Dies Janse. The nineteen-year-old defender will spend this season on loan with the team from Groningen, until the summer of 2026. Janse’s contract in Amsterdam runs until June 30, 2029.

Janse (Goes, January 27, 2006) has been with Ajax since 2020. He made his official first-team debut on August 11, 2024, in the home match against sc Heerenveen: 1-0. To date, the youth international has made six appearances for the senior side.

Alex Kroes: “For Dies’s development, it is important that he gets more playing time at the highest level. The loan move to FC Groningen is therefore a great opportunity for him to gain experience and continue his progress. We expect to see him back next summer as a more complete and improved player. We wish him the best of luck in Groningen and will be following his development closely.”
