Ajax and Charlie Setford have reached an agreement on the extension of his contract, which ran until June 30, 2023. The new contract of the 19-year-old goalkeeper will run until June 30, 2027.

Charlie Setford (Haarlem, May 11, 2004) joined the youth academy in 2012. In 2022, he received the Abdelhak Nouri Trophy for the biggest talent of the youth academy. Setford made his debut on August 20, 2021, during the match FC Den Bosch – Ajax U23: 2-3. Since then, the goalkeeper played 17 matches for Ajax U23.
