At the end of the NEC - Ajax match (0-1), smiling match winner Brian Brobbey appeared in front of the TV cameras. The forward was really happy with the win. "When I came on in the second half, there was definitely a battle going on. It was really competitive and everyone went into the challenges with full commitment. Ultimately that's what allows us to score."

Brobbey came onto the pitch on the right wing position after half time. "It's not my normal position, since I've been playing as a forward since my youth career. But if the manager needs me there, then I'm ready to do it for the team. I was already put on the right wing during training, since Berghuis had some issues", said the striker.

Despite the mediocre performance by Ajax, there was a positive mood in the changing room. "Of course everyone was happy that we got the three points. We still have four matches to play. Naturally we were also self-critical, but the victory was the most important thing. Even if you play badly, you still need to win"

Erik ten Hag also looked relieved. "One thing I was happy about was that the team stayed calm. They didn't get too frantic. And that's when you get the goal."
