Brobbey, who had to watch the first half from the bench, could see his team were having a hard time. "We struggled really to get into our game. We did well in the second half and eventually brought home three points. If you come on and you give an assist and you score, well that's pretty good."
Fine substitutions
Pasveer agreed. "The first half didn't go so well. "We were better at positional play in the second half, and set up more opportunities. The pace was too slow, so we had no room to get in front of the net. We were much better at that during the second half. No point getting worked up from the sidelines. We had to look at what we could change. The substitutions worked out well."
The striker was pleased with the forwards he was allowed to play alongside “You know people can either leave you standing there or set you up from a pass, that's great. Teamwork is great work. I have known Dusan and Antony for a long time and in training sessions I can see that Bergwijn is incredibly good.”
Right place, right time
Tadic delivered his 118th assist in the league. "He was made for it. I'm not surprised at all. I know Tadic can set the ball up right in front of the goal. If I can be in the right place at the right time I can just tap the ball in," said Brobbey.
"The first game is always a learning curve. The end result is what counts. It' makes up for Sunday, we did well." Pasveer is also happy to be back on the pitch. "I worked hard for this."
