Brobbey (born in Amsterdam, February 1, 2002) joined Ajax's youth academy in 2010. He made his debut for the Ajax first team during the 5-2 win against Fortuna Sittard on October 31, 2020, where he scored almost immediately on entering the pitch. In total, Brobbey played six times for the Ajax first teams, scoring twice.

Additionally, the nineteen-year-old striker has often played for Jong Ajax in recent seasons. In total, the youth international has played 29 games for the Ajax reserves so far, scoring sixteen goals.

Director of Football Affairs Marc Overmars adds: "We think it is too bad [that he’s leaving] and have done everything to keep him at Ajax longer. He has chosen to play football elsewhere after the summer. It’s difficult for me to accept, but it's his decision. Brian is still under contract with us for a few months, if we need him the trainers will call on him."
