Konadu, Steur and Bounida share a special bond, as the latter explains. "You grow up together with them. They are friends, but I now really see them as family."
The Belgian explains how 2025 unfolded for him in a nutshell. "For me it was a fun and special year. I started in the U19s, then quickly made the step up to Jong Ajax and after that I was also able to make my debut. A year I will not forget anytime soon."
There is no doubt about what stood out most for the three Ajacieden. "I think for all of us it’s the debut,” says Konadu. Steur adds: “That first time in Ajax 1 really stays with you."
Making your debut in Ajax 1 is special not only for the players themselves, but also for their immediate surroundings. "Family members and the people around you. That’s where it always starts," says Konadu. "Then there are teammates, the staff, for example the physios as well. There are so many people within Ajax who do a lot for us behind the scenes. Then afterwards it’s up to yourself to show what you’re capable of."
Standing still is going backwards. New goals and dreams await in 2026. Steur: "I hope that all three of us can keep playing for Ajax, as many matches as possible, and I think we would all really like to win our first trophy with Ajax. Becoming champions or winning the cup is definitely a dream for me."
Konadu feels the same way: "I’d say: all three of us playing in the starting line-up and staying there. On top of that, winning trophies and showing as many great things as possible to the fans."
