Danny Blind has been appointed as a Supervisory Board of AFC Ajax NV member on Wednesday. This took place during the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) that took place in the Johan Cruijff ArenA today.

Blind's appointment has been immediately formalised and will last until the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in November 2027.

Danny Blind (Oost-Souburg, August 1, 1961) won many national and international prizes as player and captain of Ajax 1 and had multiple technical and managing roles at the club after his active career. The 493-times Ajacied works as a board member and ambassador of Stichting Spieren voor Spieren, the Foodbank and as a football analyst at Ziggo Sport. Blind was also part of the Supervisory Board from April 2018 until August 2021.

As communicated earlier, Alex Kroes will start as CEO on March 15, 2024. For this purpose, he has been formally appointed by the Supervisory Board.
