The matches are played on half a football pitch, and the goals are slightly smaller than standard. Unlimited substitutions are allowed during the games, and every match will produce a winner. If the score is level after thirty minutes of play, a five-minute extra time will follow. During extra time, teams play five-a-side.
A total of eight teams will take part in the tournament. Alongside Ajax, the line-up includes the likes of Manchester United, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, AS Roma, FC Rosengård and Bayern Munich. The eight clubs will be divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
