Despite the loss, coach Schenkel was pleased with the team's performance. "Of course a loss is disappointing. In sport you can't settle for defeat. On the other hand, I'm proud of our performance because Bayern is a really good opponent. We can hold our heads high, at times we showed some real promise."

Does Schenkel think a stunt is a realistic possibility for the return game? "That's what we're aiming for, but at the same time you have to be realistic. Bayern are just a really good team. We are in a difficult starting position and the chances of us going through aren't high. But we'll soldier on as if the last game didn't happen and we'll put up a good fight when we get to Munich.”
