Ajax Women claim another convincing win

Ajax made a strong start. In the eighth minute, Kees headed home her first goal in an Ajax shirt to put the home side ahead. Seven minutes later, Xanne Kip had a good opportunity from a rehearsed free-kick, but she failed to get her foot properly behind the ball. A quarter of an hour later, Ajax doubled their lead. Te Brake scored her first goal for the club after being set up by Kip: 2-0.

After half an hour, the visitors pulled one back. Anne van Egmond curled the ball towards the top-left corner. Her effort was out of reach for Femke Liefting, putting ADO Den Haag back in the game at 2-1. Just before half-time, Te Brake made her mark again. A free-kick from Sherida Spitse found the midfielder's head, and she headed home to send Ajax into the break with a 3-1 lead.

Ajax continued to dominate after the interval. Early in the second half, Visscher struck the ball firmly and saw her effort fly into the back of the ADO Den Haag net. Five minutes later, it was 5-1. Te Brake completed her hat-trick with a header to put the fifth goal on the scoreboard.

In the 69th minute, Snoeijs also got her name on the scoresheet. The striker was given space to shoot and made no mistake: 6-1. In the closing stages, Ajax were awarded a free-kick. Joëlle Smits was brought down by Esmée Veerman a few minutes before full-time, with the ADO Den Haag player shown a red card. Noordermeer stepped up to take the free-kick and fired a superb effort into the net to round off the scoring.
