Ajax travel to Cadiz for training camp and play a friendly against Hannover 96

Ajax will play a friendly match against the German Hannover 96 on Sunday, January 7, at 13:00. The friendly match will take place in the Antonio Gallardo Stadium in Arcos de la Frontera, close to Cadiz. Ziggo Sport will broadcast the friendly match live. Ajax will reside in Cadiz from January 2 until January 7 to prepare for the second half of the season.

The German opponent is currently in eighth place in the second Bundesliga. Since being relegated in the 2018/2019 season, they have been playing at Germany’s second level. Ajax and Hannover 96 only played two official matches over fifty years ago. In two Europa Cup II matches, Ajax beat the German opponent in the 1969/1970 season.

Second half
Ajax’s second half of the season will start on Sunday, January 14. Go Ahead Eagles will be the opponent in Deventer. One week later, the first home match of 2024 will take place. Ajax will play against RKC Waalwijk in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
