Ajax beat Sparta after strong first half performance

Ajax have won at home against Sparta. Erik ten Hag's team was especially dominant in the first half and won with a score of 4-2. Sébastien Haller scored twice. Perr Schuurs and Mohammed Kudus provided the other goals for Ajax.

After the match, Erik ten Hag was especially satisfied with the first half. “We played with the right attitude, with good positional play and scored brilliant goals.”

He didn't think the second half was as great. “We ran out of discipline. The distances kept getting longer, and then you have to run more. We gave up two goals unnecessarily. The cause was clear: the attitude.”
