In addition to the visits and the practice match, there is also time for the team to enjoy the island. Ajax and the Curaçao Tourist Board have had a partner agreement since 2020, this visit is part of that agreement.
The program in Curaçao is largely devoted to football and talent development. The Ajax squad visits schools and football facilities on the island and football clinics are organized for children.
At the end of the visit, a friendly match will be played between the national team of Curaçao and the Ajax first team. The match will provide a good test for Curaçao the run-up to the next round of the Concacaf Nations League in June 2022 in which Curaçao will play against Honduras and Canada.
