Ajax to face FC Noah or FC Sion if they defeat Shelbourne FC

Ajax will take on Shelbourne FC on Thursday in the third qualifying round for the UEFA Conference League group stage. If the Amsterdam side overcome the Irish club over two legs, FC Noah or FC Sion will be their next opponents in the play-off round. This was confirmed during Monday's draw.

The UEFA Conference League play-offs will be played on Thursday 20 August and Thursday 27 August. The draw for the league phase will take place a day later. Should Ajax qualify for the play-off round, they will play the first leg away from home. FC Noah are based in Armenia, while FC Sion play in Switzerland.

The coming weeks will bring a busy fixture schedule for Míchel Sánchez's Ajax side. The home match against Shelbourne FC will be played on Thursday. Kick-off for the home fixture against the Irish club is at 20:00 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. One week later, the return leg will take place at Tolka Park in Dublin, which has a capacity of 5,723. In between their European commitments, Ajax will also begin the 2026/2027 Eredivisie season. PEC Zwolle are the opponents on Sunday.
