Ajax signs Paulo Da Silva

Ajax has reached an agreement with Paulo Da Silva on the transfer of the eighteen-year-old striker to Amsterdam. The youth international joins from NEC and has signed a 3,5 year contract in Amsterdam, running until June 30, 2029.

Da Silva (Tilburg, December 26, 2007) came through the youth academy of Willem II. The Dutch attacker with Portuguese roots moved to NEC’s youth academy in the summer of 2024, where he played for the U19 team. So far, Da Silva has scored fourteen goals in twelve matches, which puts him top of the U19 league’s goalscoring chart. He will join the Ajax U19 squad with immediate effect.

Director of Football Marijn Beuker: '"Paulo is a physically strong striker and a proven goalscorer. He is technically accomplished and, with his confident presence, he is a player who fits us very well. Paulo will initially join Ajax U19. After that, we hope he will continue to develop in the coming years in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. In any case, we are convinced that with Paulo we have signed a player who has the potential to succeed here."

Ajax appoints Jordi Cruijff

Ajax have appointed Jordi Cruijff as technical director. Following the verbal agreement reached on December 28, the contract has now also been signed. Cruijff will start in his new role on February 1, 2026. At the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM), which still has to be convened, Ajax shareholders will be formally informed of the intention of the Supervisory Board (RvC) to also appoint Cruijff as a statutory director. The appointment runs until June 30, 2028.
