In comparison to the match in Nijmegen, Alfred Schreuder substituted four times on Wednesday: Gero Rulli, Owen Wijndal. Kian Fitz-Jim and Lorenzo Lucca started for the team. They substituted Remko Pasveer, Jurriën Timber, Edson Álvarez and Brian Brobbey. The latter was not present in Den Bosch.

Argentine Rulli made his official debut on goal for Ajax. For Lucca and Fitz-Jim, who made his debut last Sunday, it meant their first time starting for the team. In the second half, Olivier Aertssen (18) and Jorrel Hato (16) made their debuts.

Their dominant play resulted in a penalty for Ajax in the 19th minute. A pass from Francisco Conceição reached Taylor, who then got floored in the penalty area. With full confidence, Tadic took the penalty and shot the ball into the top corner: 0-1.

Without a change to the team, Ajax started the second half. Underneath a clear sky, Taylor did what others were unable to do in the first half: score. The midfielder scored the 0-2 from the edge of the penalty area. It turned out to be the last goal of the evening.

The draw follows on Saturday, after which the next opponent will be clear.
