More than two months later, the rest of the match was played with spectators including over two hundred travelling Ajax fans. They saw that Ajax didn't come under pressure for even a moment. Only Filip Stevanović posed any threat for the home team with a header onto the roof of the Ajax goal.
In the first part of the match, Brobbey, Steven Bergwijn (from a penalty) and Steven Berghuis had already made an impression on the scoreboard. After taking three points in Waalwijk, Ajax has climbed to sixth in the ranking.
The goal by Berghuis in September (2-3) ultimately stood as the winning goal. The Ajax player was especially happy with how professionally the match was played out in North Brabant. "We had to be smart and take every second. We were able to do that. We've taken the points with us to Amsterdam. But we're especially happy that Etienne is doing well, let's not forget about that. Health comes first."
"Fortunately we've found a reasonably high level again. That's our duty to the Ajax supporters. As a group of players, we're also grateful for the support we had here in these remaining minutes."
