Ajax are heading into the weekend in good spirits. Erik ten Hag's side easily handled Willem II at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. With goals from Antony (2), Lisandro Martínez, Davy Klaassen and Danilo the final score was 5 – 0. As a result, Ajax remains the leader in the Eredivisie.

The game with Willem II was initially brought forward to Thursday evening to give Erik ten Hag's team more time in their schedule in the crucial weeks of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Ajax will play against Sporting CP next Tuesday, but, both clubs are already through to the knockout phase.

For the second season in a row, Ajax have won by one goal to nil against Sparta in Rotterdam. Dusan Tadic was the match-winner with his goal in the 36th minute. With both PSV and Feyenoord dropping points, things turned out great on Sunday for the Amsterdam side.
