Ajax will welcome Panathinaikos to Amsterdam Thursday evening. In the run-up to the return leg in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, manager Francesco Farioli’s Ajax squad completed their final training session in the Johan Cruyff ArenA this Wednesday.
Farioli and Steven Berghuis spoke to journalists gathered in the press room just before the final training session on Ajax’s home turf. The Italian manager revealed that Steven Bergwijn will be back in the match squad on Thursday.
The return leg between Ajax and Panathinaikos kicks off Thursday evening at 20:15. The first leg in Greece ended in a 1-0 victory for Ajax thanks to a goal from Berghuis.
