Alders (born in Amsterdam on 7 May 2005) joined Ajax in 2014 from partner club Sporting Martinus. This season, he made 23 appearances for Jong Ajax before being loaned out to FC Twente on 4 February. His loan spell will last until the end of the current season.

He can operate as both a left-back and right-back and has also frequently played as a midfielder in the past. Over the coming months, Gerald will have the opportunity to adapt to the Eredivisie level at FC Twente, ensuring that he returns in the summer as an even more complete player."
