Ajax and Jonna van de Velde have reached an agreement on a new contract. The new contract of the 23-year-old defender and midfielder runs until June 30, 2027.

Van de Velde (Amsterdam, November 4, 2001) has been playing for Ajax since 2018. She made her debut for the club on October 21 of that year in a 5-0 victory against Excelsior. So far, Van de Velde has played 83 matches and scored seven goals.

Technical director Alex Kroes: "Jonna is a versatile player with tremendous drive. She has fought her way back impressively after a serious knee injury and has developed into a reliable force within the team. We are delighted that she has extended her contract and look forward to her continued development at Ajax."
