Despite missing several big chances early on, Ajax took the lead after 17 minutes. Steven Berghuis delivered a fantastic pass to Mika Godts, who calmly slotted the ball past the keeper: 1-0.

The second goal, scored by Brian Brobbey just before half-time, was another well-worked move. Anton Gaaei whipped in a precise cross, and Brobbey only had to tap it in: 2-0.

Ajax continued their dominance in the second half, with Edvardsen adding a stunning third goal in the 56th minute. He cleverly guided Jorrel Hato’s cross into the net with an intelligent touch.

The final goal belonged to true Ajax icon Davy Klaassen, who scored his 100th goal for the club. After a loose ball fell to him, he controlled it and fired it home. The jubilation on Klaassen’s face showed just how much this milestone meant to him.

With this victory, Ajax now hold a five-point lead over PSV, who drew against FC Utrecht on Saturday.
