Ajax cruise into next round of the Dutch Cup

Ajax has easily qualified for the round of sixteen of the Dutch Cup. They brushed aside amateur club BVV Barendrecht at the Johan Cruijff ArenA: 4-0.

The Ajax starting lineup featured heavy changes from last time out. Nine players were given the opportunity to impress Erik ten Hag in the starting eleven.

Furthermore, three players made their official debut for the Ajax first team in the second half: Youri Regeer, Amourricho van Axel Dongen and Kristian Hlynsson.

Especially for Hlynsson it was a memorable evening. The 17 year-old midfielder scored his first goal for the Ajax first team

The round of sixteen will be played on Tuesday January 18, Wednesday, January 19 or Thursday, January 20. The next opponent is yet to be decided.

The Amsterdam side proved untouchable once again and won the sixth European match of this season: 4-2.
