Ajax have won 2-1 against Galatasaray at home. This means Francesco Farioli’s team has concluded the league phase of the UEFA Europea League with a victory. Ajax ends in twelfth place of the group and will play against PAOK or Union Saint-Gilloise in the play-offs.

The win against the Turkish opponent marked the fourth victory in this phase of the Europa League. Earlier, Ajax defeated Beşiktaş, Qarabag FK, and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

After a week without European football, Ajax will continue the Europa League knockout phase on February 13. The return leg will take place a week later. The draw for this round of the Europa League will be held on Friday in Nyon at 13:00.
