Hlynsson was born on January 23, 2004, in Odense, Denmark. The international joined Ajax in January 2020 from Icelandic club Breidablik. On December 15, 2021, he made his first-team debut in the Dutch Cup match Ajax – BVV Barendrecht: 4-0. The right-footed midfielder has made 45 appearances for Ajax 1 so far, scoring ten goals.
