Traoré was born on January 12, 2001 in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. The attacker joined Ajax from the youth academy of Ajax Cape Town in the winter break of 2019 and previously played for Rahimo FC in Burkina Faso. He made his debut in the first team on May 12, 2019 in the match between Ajax and FC Utrecht (4-1).
The 20-year-old attacker played a total of 31 official matches for the Ajax first team and scored twelve times. The Burkina Faso international won the Dutch league twice with with Ajax and as well as winning the KNVB cup on two occasions; in 2019 and last season.
