Medić (September 7, 1998, Zagreb, Croatia) joined Ajax in the summer of 2023 from Sankt Pauli. He made his debut for the club on August 12, 2023, in the home league match against Heracles: 4-1. Last season, the 28-year-old played on loan for VfL Bochum in the German Bundesliga. Medić featured in nine official matches for Ajax’s first team and scored once.

Technical director Alex Kroes said: "There was no real prospect for Jakov at Ajax, so it made sense for both parties to look elsewhere. At Norwich City, he faces an exciting challenge in the Championship. We have wished him all the best for the next step in his career."
