For Ajax, this partnership represents an important step in further strengthening it's international football network and creating additional opportunities to identify, develop, and support talented players in different markets. LASK, in turn, will gain access to Ajax's football expertise and methodology, while also working together on the development of clearer and stronger player pathways.
The collaboration is centered primarily around knowledge sharing across key football areas, including player development, coaching, scouting, and wider football processes. Both clubs also aim to further enhance the way talent is identified and assessed, with the shared ambition of creating the right environment for players to maximize their development and future potential. In addition, the partnership creates room for the exchange of ideas and experience in selected business areas and club operations, including hospitality, allowing both clubs to learn from each other beyond the pitch.
As an early step in the partnership, two LASK players were part of the Future United team at the Olympia Future Cup in Amsterdam last weekend. Their participation marked the kick-off of the partnership activities and reflected the shared ambition of both clubs to create meaningful international development opportunities for young players.
Marijn Beuker, Director of Football of Ajax: "This partnership reflects our ambition to build strong relationships with clubs that share a clear vision on player development. With LASK, we see a partner committed to growth, innovation, and creating the right conditions for players and staff to develop. The involvement of two LASK players in the Future United team at the Olympia Future Cup was a strong first example of this collaboration in practice. LASK’s strategic location in the central part of Europe also adds value to our talent identification efforts in the region. By exchanging knowledge, strengthening player pathways, and working together on talent identification, we believe this partnership can create real value for both clubs."
Siegmund Gruber, CEO of LASK: "This partnership with AFC Ajax is a significant milestone for LASK. What makes this collaboration particularly valuable is the intensive exchange of knowledge across all key areas of football. Working closely with a club that combines a rich history with world-class expertise in player development and the integration of young talents at the highest level is both an honor and great opportunity to learn and evolve. We are convinced that this continuous knowledge sharing will play a crucial role in advancing our sporting strategy and creating the best possible environment for our players and staff to grow."
