Ekkelenkamp (born in Zeist, April 5, 2000) played in Ajax's youth academy from the summer of 2013. He made his debut in the first team on April 19, 2018 in the match between Ajax and VVV Venlo (4-1) match. He played a total of 40 matches for Ajax's first team and scoring 6 goals.
The Dutch junior international won the Eredivisie twice with Ajax (2019 and 2021) and claimed the KNVB Cup twice as well, both last season and in 2019. In 2019, he also won the Johan Cruijff Shield. In the 2018-2019 season, he was an Eerste Divisie champion with Jong Ajax.
