Banel was born on 19 October 2004 in Amsterdam and has been with Ajax since 2012 after joining from partner club Zeeburgia. The winger made his first-team debut on 30 November 2023 during the UEFA Europa League match between Olympique Marseille and Ajax: 4-3. He made a total of nine appearances for the senior team.
