The 23-year-old German with Kosovan roots was born on 19 September 2001 in Stuttgart and joined Ajax from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023. He made his debut for Ajax's first team on 22 October of that year in the away match against FC Utrecht, which ended in a 4-3 defeat. In total, the former German youth international made 32 appearances for Ajax.
Technical director Alex Kroes said: "At one point last year, Diant was the number one goalkeeper for Ajax’s first team but found himself on the bench this season. Despite this disappointment, he continued to work extremely hard and maintained a highly professional attitude. At a certain point, he clearly expressed his desire to leave. We decided to cooperate with his request and have wished him the best of luck with the next chapter of his career."
