Bouwman (Haarlem, August 28, 2007) joined Ajax's youth academy in 2018. This season, he made his official debut for the first team on August 10, 2025, in the home match against Telstar. To date, the youth international has made five appearances for the senior side, scoring once.

Director of Football Marijn Beuker: "Aaron is a player who combines defensive reliability with footballing ability and has shown in a short space of time that he can make the step up to Ajax 1. He is a modern defender who fits the way we want to play and develop within the club. His performances in recent matches have shown that he is a player with enormous potential. This contract extension is a logical result of his development and reflects the confidence we have in his future at Ajax."
