Ajax has reached an agreement with Genova for the transfer of Lasse Schöne to the Italian club. The Dane had been under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2020.
Schöne was born on May 27, 1986, in Glostrup, Denmark. The midfielder came over in the summer of 2012 from NEC Nijmegen, transfer-free. On August 5, 2012, he made his debut in the first team during the PSV – Ajax (4-2) Johan Cruiff Shield match. The Danish international has played in a total of 287 official games in Ajax’s first team, scoring 64 goals.
With Ajax, Schöne has won three national championships (2012, 2014 and 2019). In 2019, he also won the KNVB Cup, and he has won the Johan Cruijff Shield twice, in 2013 and 2019.
